Tape Life extension

I have some scrapes in my tape that i dont think are leaking yet and i am about to leave on a trip. I do not think i have time to replace them.

Any suggestions on solutions to extend the lifetime of this GFC’s tape? I was considering a polyurethane sealant or putting a tape patch over the original tape as a short term solution - with the knowledge i’ll have to do the larger job in a year or so or ideally before the winter. I reached out to my local GFC partner who is booked up within my last minute window - and have a case in with GFC which is still pending response.

Would love to hear the follow-up on this.

Is that the roof? My V2 a previously had didnt have that tape.

I wouldn’t sweat it at all for your upcoming trip. The scrapes look pretty minimal in my opinion and are still far from any potential leaking. Plus, my v2 didn’t even come with this tape and was only added 2+ years later when I upgraded to the pro tent. I think you’ve got some time before you really need to do anything and would just replace it when you get the opportunity. Enjoy your trip!
