Putting those rock sliders to work! Well job sir
That is f’ing fantastic!
Spent our first camping trip in our Go Fast Camper. It’s safe to say we’re pretty happy with the purchase already. Much faster to get everything set up compared to setting up the RTT and annex just to have enough room for us, the kid, and the dog. Just a few pics of camp as well as how we kind of organized everything.

Should start the hashtag:

A couple of GFCs in Mammoth Lakes, CA.
Posted up after a couple of nice days in Tuolumne Meadows.
Both pictures were shot on my 35mm Nikon (film is cool again… right?)
Film is always cool
Where in Tuolumne were you car camping? Did they open back up? We were there backpacking over the summer but stayed in the backpackers camp in the front and back ends of the trip.
@MechEMike I should have clarified, I only had a day-use pass for Tuolumne. The campground was still closed when I was there. I drove in during the day to go bouldering and fly fishing then camped at one of the forest service campgrounds lower down on Tioga road. The spot in the picture is near deadman summit, in between Mammoth and June Lake. This was a good spot to avoid the crowds of the Mammoth Lakes campgrounds but still be close enough to head up there to go climbing!
Ha! Hartley Springs? We crashed there an night on our way out of Yosemite this summer. Discovered it on accident, just driving on the FS road looking for a place to pull off. It is a great place to crash if you don’t want to deal with reservation and it’s within striking distance Tuolumne.
The spot I camped in was probably only a mile from Hartley Springs. There are tons of Forest Service roads in that area and dispersed camping is super easy, definitely recommend if you’re recreating in the Mammoth/June Lake/Lee Vining area.
Yeah, it is a super special area.
By the way, when we were up in Yosemite I must have had about 5-10 people come up and ask me about the GFC. I get people ask me about it on a pretty regular basis, but the frequency was really high when I was in the Sierras. Maybe GFC wants to sponsor me so I could quit my job and just cruise around the Sierras, avanglizing wonders of the camper?
by those two house photos, looks like you’re living in a Nick Cave dream
I saw that sitting in the lot a few weeks ago and commented to Taylor and Big Mike how cool the color was. Very cool.
