Track mounts for Hi-Lift (Farm) Jack?

Does anyone have experience mounting a Hi-Lift (farm) jack to the outside rails of the t-track system?

I quickly ran out of room on my Martin Off-Road roof rack and if I can’t find a solution there, then I wonder where I will end up placing this 48” jack.

Here are two options i’ve come across so far:

Or maybe a creative use to Yakima’smount if I can find space on the Martin rack next to my box:

this is for a 2016 Tacoma DCSB and I don’t have off-road bumpers but I do have a lift. Thanks!

well unless you’re always on smooth roads or don’t go on anyywhere too bumpy, I wouldn’t put anything heavy on the extrusions. you’re basically trusting the weight to hold on less than half an inch per point of contact.

I definitely plan to off road. My thinking is that it can’t weigh much more than most awnings at ~40lbs.

I will have a rear awning that’s 20lbs and held with universal brackets + spacers

What about just ditching the high lift? Most people who do serious off-roading don’t use them anymore. If you have a winch on your rig a good tall bottle jack is all you need to get out of a jam.

SafeJacks are probably a better/safer solution

i see. well if you plan on doing anything high speed keep it lightweight on the side up top. Bumps and stress from high speed runs make things go wrong more quickly than slow speed bumpy crawling runs.

i’d run a pro eagle over a farm jack if you can. We’ve used a pro eagle as a makeshift front axle for a JL when the driver went off trail and slammed his front axle on a boulder. Used it to move the JL for a few miles and then used it to get it on a flatbed.

and we’ve used it in some deep soft sand to swap tires and repair punctures as well. Going 6 years with it and still going strong.

I did some research and decided on the Hi-Lift because I could get other uses out of it, such as a hand winch. I will also be bringing the OE bottle jack.

I don’t have an electric winch due to the associated cost (bumpers mainly), but I know they are very useful. I will avoid areas where I think that type of tool would be necessary.

My truck has RCI rock sliders mounted to the frame, which a Hi-lift jack can use. I’ve already decided on the hi-jack; just need a place to put it lol
