V2 Pro Latches sticking in cold weather

Have had a V2 Pro since August 2025. All the latches have been working fine. Lubricated them with some Boeshield T9 a few months ago. Got back from a morning ski a couple days ago and none of them would open. Camper was parked outside in 25f temps for less than 3 hours. When they warm up in my garage they function again. Anyone else experiencing this? What did you do to solve…?

Hey there, Joey here from GFC. This is a pretty interesting issue and not something we’ve encountered before. Could you please fill out a Service Request Form so we can get this documented and start working toward a resolution?

Really appreciate it!

I had this issue with my V2 pro as well. Any amount of snow or water getting behind the latches and they are permanently suck until you can thaw them out. I picked up my camper on a ski trip and was unable to use the back panel for the rest of the trip. I bet a hair dryer or something would have fixed it but I was a new owner and didn’t know what the issue was.

I’ve had this issue as well. I picked up my V2 pro at the end of October 2025 and went on a 3 day hunting trip here in Montana. Each morning when temps dipped below 20 degrees my latches would stick. They still stick from time to time in the cold which isn’t ideal. I’ll open the tailgate and pop them open from the inside but then when I want to close up everything, I have to shut my tailgate first and then shut the GFC back panel which I then can’t secure shut….any help or advice would be appreciated!

With my old camper was the worst, I used lock deicer you can get from any auto parts store it works well but even better if you keep it warm in your jacket.
