V2 Pro Tent Bungee

I decided to install a bungee on the tent to make closing it up a little easier.

I had a friend 3D print some loops that would take the place of the existing screws at the forward end of the top of the tent

Open the tent partway so the canvas has some slack and use a low profile T25 bit to remove the screws, one side at a time

I discovered that my replacement screws were a little to short so I removed some material from the grommet loop thing to make them longer

I bought a roll of 4mm bungee material on Amazon and tied it off on each end, so far it works well, I may shorten the bungee a bit. Overall a cheap quick mod

Nice work. I did something similar except I just passed the line through the space at the front of the tent and then tied it at the rear window. I didn’t make it short enough the first time but now it works great.

I had a setup like that before I did this, it worked…

If you ever want the same thing in billet hit me up and I can give you a deal on the same thing I use for my TentPull product.

I stole your @Staticline idea, used @jedgar billet mounting points and in addition to his tent pull tried to improve on the setup.

I used 1/4 bungee as I wanted a little more pull in power. I did not want a system that was too hard to remove when using the tent so as opening the flaps was not an issue. I added a loop to the bungee at each end and attached little clips to each. 4 clips, one for each end of each bungee. So one end is clipped to the billet mounts at the front of the camper and the other end clips to the tent pull strap. Then the whole unit sucks in on itself, no tucking in the tent pull either!

The tie loops on the bungees I will replace with something a little more elegant later.
