VRNCLR Bedding Catch Issues

Maybe it’s just me but for the price you pay for this bedding catch it’s kinda saggy and the bungees on the underside don’t stay centered.

So the plan is to do a grommet in the middle and put a loop there to keep the bungees on the bottom centered. (I suggested this to the company and they didn’t seem to care to improve the product).

Other thing is the sagging I and thinking about drilling through the floor (where I drew the red circle) and putting an anchor point that I can attach a carabiner from
the bedding catch to it to support the front middle.

-Anyone see a problem structurally with that?

This is what we ended up doing to ours. What have you done to your GFC this week - #1020 by DirtTrailsWanted

I think you would be fine as long as you spread out the load under the upper bolt head. Fender washer or something a bit larger. And don’t tighten down tight on the panel either, you can crush the upper and lower surfaces, they are not thick or particularly strong. No guarantees.

Yea 100% that was my plan a large fender washer.

I don’t have T-track there in mine for some reason (or do I need to just flip that panel around? Also it would bring the bedding catch pretty far forward for mine it looks like.

The T-track is attached to the edge of the stationary panel. First noticed it last weekend camping after having the GFC for 2.5 years . . .

Ah yea that’s too far back to attach the front to.

Ah I see! Wonder of you could run something like this with a fat piece of vhb tape mounting it to the panel in the location you want. I’d imagine the loading from the gear hammock wouldn’t be enough to pull it off.

Yea I thought about mounting little L-Track up there with a tie down ring. I don’t mind drilling through the floor most likely the route I will go

I did the exact same thing. Works great.

Yea I figured there wouldn’t be a problem just was seeing if others have and if they have had a problem or not. It’s not much weight at all.

I just removed a net I have. I like the look without it.
