Another water intrusion issue, but this time in the rear panel brake light. This is a brand new V2 Pro, it’s only been in light rain and not for about a week (it’s been parked in a fully covered carport for the past week) and I haven’t touched the brake light (still not wired up to the truck). I just noticed the water in there yesterday. Has anyone else had this issue?
Yes. Emailed them and got a new one shipped to me.
Thanks. I’ll try emailing again.
It’ll happen. They’re very cheap lights ($20). They add silicon on the backside from the factory to help prevent this. Probably didn’t do a good enough job with the silicon.
Yes, same issue with water on both ends around the hex cap screw. Also have a
water entering the front window gasket on a new topper (7/19/2024) .
Wow. Sounds like they’re having some quality control issues. Obviously the light is a separate issue since they don’t make those, but disappointing that they went with such a cheap manufacturer. I guess it’s nice that they’re only $20, but I’d much rather have a more expensive light that doesn’t have these issues.
