Weight Distribution when designing your build

One thing I would recommend is consider weight distribution when laying out your truck build. My original setup had all my tools, water and fridge all at or near the back of the bed. I weighed my truck at Cat scale (provides separate front and back axle weights) and found out I had actually unweighted the front tires (less weight than before the install) and rear was very heavy. Moved water forward, tool bags and fridge into the cab and truck is now much better balanced.

Adding to this, it’s a good idea to consider where your fuel tank is located on the vehicle and its capacity. That might make it a wise idea to put drawers or more of the build on one side vs the other.

i just put the heavy stuff toward the front of the truck, between two axles. ideally, the more forward the better.
this also helps tremendously while wheeling/ boogieing (going fast hitting those whoops, as the camper is supposedly designed for)
