What have you done to your GFC this week

I ended up buying the zip tie flexible mounts from TTI. Hope they get here by the end of next week.

I hadn’t pulled the trigger yet since I was going to be out of town next week. If you’re looking for someone to take some off your hands let me know!

Otherwise I’ll order some and happy to split with @TearingOut55 and @Jcknapp74.

I’m in no hurry. Give a shout when you order and d be happy to buy some off you.

@MBBME & @Jcknapp74 I just bought 100 off TTI (thanks for tracking that down!), will DM you guys when they arrive. I’ll probably post any extra after that point in the market place.

I’ve mounted my beef bars, my mantis claw ladder, installed plugs in the holes of my V2 frame and replaced a latch that was defective so far this morning. On my Gladiator I have also installed a pedal commander to get rid of the awful acceleration lag with the manual transmission. Lastly this afternoon I’ll be sealing the bed and installing a bed rug.

I’m designing a set of 80/20 drawers on the passenger side with a DFG drop down fridge/cooler slide above. Kitchen in the bottom drawer and storage in the top.

Last item will be a molle panel for the cab side of the bed using this aluminum. Hexagonal - Perforated - Aluminum - 17642732 | McNICHOLS®

All should be complete by the time the tundra thaws.

Finally got around to installing sheets and my ladder.

Did you ever get those clips?

Hey- yes I did, just sitting in a box still. Sorry I’ve been MIA, life has been nuts. Send me a dm with how many you want. They cost me .90 each. @MBBME will message you later too

No worries at all. Same over here. Busy busy. I’d be into 25-30 of them if you can spare that many.

Bolted in the last piece of my new drawer setup minutes before leaving for a Baja surf trip.

If you ever feel the need to have travel companions for baja surf trips, I’d be interested. It’s hard to find surf travelers in NM. I hope to be heading that way later this month with a group. I don’t feel good about traveling alone.

Peace.

Fun little hack: I slapped down two of Moment’s MagSafe Wall Mounts to the ceiling of the GFC for a nifty place to leave phones at night (in Do not disturb mode, naturally)

Added a regulated and fill connectors for my onboard air system. Tank is where my spare doesn’t fit anymore and the compressor has Bluetooth independent L/R airbag control. The long travel airbags give me +8-10” of rear ride hight control, handy to get nice and level when camping.

Also added a poor man’s molle panel. When I find a suitable real one I will swap it out.

It has been a decades since it was safe enough to travel to baja alone to surf. If you drive down alone, plan on meeting others there or in a pack. Have a good place to hide any valuables, your wallet, money, etc.

so sick! It looks like you have some sort of plate system to secure the drawers to, is that right? Been brainstorming ideas to come up with my own plate system or find a better solution to mount my drawers. Looks solid man! Enjoy Baja

Yeah a half inch plywood baseplate sprayed with bed liner. Then t nuts to bolt the cabinets down. We basically tried to copy goose gear. I’ll do a detailed post on it eventually.

Why did you mount your bypasses upside down?

That’s the way the rears are run for these trucks as far as I am aware. I don’t even think they would fit the other way around. I was told you want the shafts up and out of the rocks and road grime on the back anyways.
