Picking up my rig next month for my ram 1500.
Has anyone added a similar sized window as depicted below 33x210”
I’m curious if the braces would affect the install

I don’t think it will matter, but 6’ or 5’6” box?
I can measure my panel on my 6’ box ram 1500. But if that’s the window, I don’t think it will fit. I feel like when I looked at this I felt the size of window that would fit was not worth the effort when you can just have screens and open the door right up ![]()
Hey!
I have the 5’7 bed. Is there any room between the support brace when the panel is shut? Curious if the depth of the window would interfere with closing the panel.
My main purpose is for added ventilation for the dogs while on the move and a place to insert diesel heater tubing.
Thank you!
There is a few mm of space between the brackets and the door when the door is closed. Likely not enough for the rubber seal. It would possibly still close but your seal won’t meet and you’d likely get dust egress. This is because the panels are so flexible. You’ll also need to upgrade your lift struts, as the stock ones would not be strong enough to hold up the extra weight.
Search here on the forum, many folks have had this same thought and most opted to go with positive pressure vents for their dogo’s. I’m pretty sure someone on here put a smaller window in that fit in the space between the brackets. I’d say it was a 14”x24” window.
Thanks for the detailed response. I did see the smaller window, not fond of the looks. I did see the positive vents and an option where someone 3d printed an attachment coupler see they could heat through it. Not a bad idea.
Thank you
Found a link for you. Was just reading that yesterday. Looks like a good solution for venting and heater input.
Thanks. I’m in the process of trying to 3d print an adapter for the diesel heater. Fingers crossed.
