Cabana 706 Simple Build

Thanks man! I appreciate that. Its simple and still mostly a truck bed when empty.

Peace.

Such a rad build amigo. I am in need of this Westfastia sticker. Might I be able to purchase? Or was it a one off? So badass! Thank you.

It was a one off. A friend of mine has a vinyl decal printer. Sorry.
Here’s my art if that’s helpful to you.

Peace.

Bug screen for one side of the V1. I made it utilizing magnets. Its pretty ghetto, but seems to work well. I used the extra strength fiberglass screen and square magnets with a center hole available at HD. I sewed the magnets to the screen using dental floss. I measured for the top magnets and sewed those on the kitchen table. I then sewed the other magnets in place while it was hanging on the frame. It was a little tedious. I did the final screen trimming as I added the magnets.

Installs in less than a minute. Stores in about the same amount of time. It folds up easily. There are some gaps, but its pretty good. Because I magnet it to the inside of the frame, I can still close the side panel with it installed, so that makes bed-time easier. I’ll be field testing it in the near future on a mosquito-y trip through Idaho. I’ll report back.

Total cost was about $60 and 3 hours that I’ll never get back…

Peace.

This is slick. Nice work. I installed velcro on my GFC rails for an internal “tonneau cover”, this just made me realize I could probably make internal velcro bug screens. Thanks for the inspiration.

This is exactly how I plan to make screens if I ever get the time for it. Although, with a V2, I’d have to attach steel plates for the magnets.
