For V1, they are compatible in the direction of Colorado → Tacoma. I have seen multiple posts where people claim they have installed a Colorado GFC on a Tacoma.
For V2 it is not clear.

Confirmed with GFC the measurements for the V1 Platform tent and the fact that the Colorado version is backwards compatible with Tacomas of all generations. In case others are interested, the height between the bedrail to the bottom of the tent is 23 7/8" on the Tacoma (and pretty much the same for my Colorado.
Some other rough dimensions that I got from @khm293 (for the good of the group):
Bedrail to Bedrail (interior): ~ 57" x 73.5"
Bedrail to Bedrail (exterior): ~ 64.5" x 77"

So it’s happening, it’s been a toss up but I’ve made the decision of keeping the Bison, and sell the Go Fast Camper. I’ll definitely be getting another in time but due to current personal situation I’m forced to sell one.

I’m like 80% sure the V2 is model specific, so it probably won’t fit any Tacoma. But asking GFC directly would be your best bet for confirmation.
Not entirely true. I purchased my V2 from a GFC employee for my 1st Gen Tacoma with 6’ bed and it was originally on a 2021 GMC Canyon.
