I just had my Platform Topper installed yesterday, and I’m happy to report that the mattress is now 3" thick instead of 2", and the covers have a nice soft, stretchy material on top that feels nice against the skin and lets you sink into the foam more. As a side sleeper, I was figuring I would need to buy a sheet and foam kit almost immediately to make it comfortable enough for me, but I think this is going just fine as it came!
My installer, Basil’s Garage in Vista, CA, said this was the first shipment they got with the new mattress.
