Front sliding window options

I’m leaning towards buying a GFC Pro V2 for my Gen 4 Taco. Does anyone know if there is an aftermarket front sliding window? I’ve asked GFC if they offer a front slider as a special order, but they don’t.

I searched and searched. I found a window company in another state that would make one if I send a template of the front window, for about $700. I’m still looking for something locally, in So Cal. I would imagine just about every GFCr would order it

The sliding/removable bulkhead window remains one of the top things I like more about Super Pacific

Especially with my Rivian that has fairings boxing out the rear window, I’m kinda boned if I ever need to clean back there.

Maybe some acrylic and a CNC cutter would make an affordable solution more accessible

I’m in the same boat as @kevine001 We both fish and need a way to transport/store our longer rods when we’re going to and from the dock. Kevin, I wonder if they would offer a discount for two?

With the trapezoid shape, how much of an opening could realistically be made/ used?

For my fishing poles, I would only need a 1’ square opening

I only need to fit 12oz through the slider

that’s what she said…

In all seriousness, my old topper front window was hinged. Basically, the topper has a plastic frame around the opening. The window also had a frame around it that fit inside of the larger frame in the topper opening. The window frame had two hinges on the bottom, and two latches on top. It dropped down into the bed. I have a 2017 Toyota Tundra, one of the only trucks I believe that the entire rear cab window comes down. It was great having the ability to pass through from the bed into the cab.

I’ll pile on-- I also very much want an opening front window for my V2. It would be great to access the cab from the back.

Come on @GFC_Support let’s make this happen!

The SP window can slide and also be fully popped out to clean the back glass if one wanted. Nice feature to have.

Gainz, what is this “SP window” you mention?

I wonder if that window could be retrofitted onto a GFC? It would require cutting the front panel I’m sure, but a competent fabricator could do that.

I’d also love this. And a back that could slide open to have stuff sticking out. Would happily pay extra for that

I totally agree with all of you, a sliding front window would be super dope. Curious as to how you guys who are interested would use it? I have had a Camper on my truck for the last 3 years so I am pretty used to the fixed glass. The things that come to my mind is grabbing snacks out of the cab of the truck when I am hanging downstairs in the Camper…

Likely wouldn’t work since GFC has the crossbars blocking the back area.

I think it could work as the crossbars do not block the window.

I for one would like to use it to access my cab, maybe even climb thorough in inclimate weather.

And be able to clean the window(s). I am lucky in that I have a 1st gen tundra and entire rear window rolls down…

I would use it to transport longer fishing poles inside the truck. When I had my Leer camper shell, the front window slid open making it easy to transport my longer fishing poles. I could also see using it to grab snacks or a cold beer out of the cab, but I never used mine for that
