JE Design & Fabrication GFC accessories

Yeah, seems like a lot more contact between the two pieces, and additional support with the “ledge” you’ve incorporate.

Maybe a stupid question here, but do you know why the slot-nuts stand proud of the tracks so that anything attached via them has to be notched out? It seems it would make a lot more sense to make them flat to the edges of the t-track but I’m no engineer

No idea, but it totally bugs me.

The 10-32 tnuts are flush with the track and don’t have that issue. The 1/4-20 ones are proud so that they have an appropriate amount of threads for the extra strength needed in some 1/4-20 applications (like racks/awnings etc)

Ahh, that makes sense.

Thanks for this link @dmg5000 That is such a good source for 8020 I can now offer the bars too at a reasonable price! The forum comes through yet again!

Yeah, I was really surprised to find free, fast shipping on lower cost orders. They don’t have quite as many options as 8020.net, but they have the basics at least.

They also have great deals on controllers/pneumatics/PLCs and stuff. As you go deeper and deeper into CNC/automation gear they’re a good source of medium quality parts. I use them often for prototypes.

Another not-so-obvious source is Zoro, they are like grainger but without the stupid tiered pricing and with fast free shipping. I’ve saved a ton ordering hose and automation stuff from Zoro. They have a surprising amount of stuff.

I’ll second zoro.com. They also email coupons that are pretty lenient. I’ve place 5 orders form them and haven’t had a single snag.

Just wanted to shout out that I’m so stoked to find your heater port. I’ve been looking for a long time to find a heater port that can’t be opened from the outside, since the city I live in is fairly hostile to any vehicle parked on the street. Thank you so much!!

Have a limited run (10 sets) of the BuddyMount anodized black! Once these are gone I will be going back to the raw aluminum. Check them out here.
