Spent last night for the first time in a mild drizzle in my new V2 PRO camper. Woke up to my tent leaking from the seams and all my mattress and bedding soaked. I believe it’s leaking from the seam closest from the bottom. Even after closing the tent and driving in the rain it still came through. I’m submitting a service request but has anyone see this same situation. Photos below
Thought they would have fixed this on the v2 pro. I had a v2 that I had a very bad leaking issue. I am on a slopped driveway which is something they advise against. Seems like a cop out… however, I did reach out to them and they provided their water mitigation kit for free. This will be the first winter with it but already it has helped in other rain storms…
You’re not the only person with this issue:
What did the water mitigation kit consist of?
I have a V2. on my 3rd gen taco short bed. (currently… just ordered the pro max)
they sent me the water mitigation kit and the install was easy.
there is some sealant and some drilling involved. on the side of the frame. to allow the water to drain out.
honestly though I thought they had begun add the mitigation kit installed on all the new ones and if your on a pro then I would give them a call an ask

Very interesting experience. I upgraded to the v2 pro a day before my Baja trip (11/11/25) and expected a rain storm during it. I experienced 2 rainy nights but the inside of the tent was very dry, even with the rear of the tent pointed towards the rain. The design of the tent flaps and how they overlap had me convinced that there would be minimal rain intrusion. Even after returning home I knew I had to dry the tent before it could be closed long term otherwise I would risk getting mold and funk in an otherwise brand new tent. I had kept the tent open for an additional 2 days in the rain after pressure washing the mud off the fabric and the only moisture/water I noticed looked to be from condensation near the bottom seam of the side windows. Nothing serious for me to submit a service request over.
I am still experiencing some water intrusion on the rails that the fixed floor panel sits on. That part has stumped me and although inconvenient, it isn’t a lot of water and not quite a headache to want to figure out as I know it will be quite in-depth.
Good luck with your findings and solutions.
Camped last night in about 1” of rain with moderate wind. First rain in the V2 Pro RTT. One side was bone dry and the other seems to have leaked the length of the tent, but the most water was around the forward vent window which was closed.
Came here to see if anyone else was experiencing this and what potential solutions have been tried. We were thinking to try something to cover those windows if it is supposed to rain, but then we may have reduced venting and if it is coming through the seams, will not help. Bummed!
