Night 4. Tonight we are at Padre Island National seashore. (PINS). 40 mph winds in the beach so we are camping at the malaquite campground for the night. Will be on the beach tomorrow as the winds die off.

Day 7 & 8 Rio Grande del Norte National Monument continues - the ease with which the GFC makes setting up camp has been great after spending lots of late days on the water. Much better than the previous method of pulling a half dozen TAT boxes out!

Started 2024’s camping season off by escaping the snow and heading to Texas to visit the folks and see the Total Eclipse.
Night #1 - Outside Monticello, UT on a very windy night.
Night #2 - Bosque Redondo Park, Ft. Sumner, NM.
Night #3 - Gipson Ranch outside Johnson City, TX.
Night #4 - Gipson Ranch after a disappointing, cloud covered Totality.
Night #5 - Back at Bosque Redondo Park on the way back to UT.
Night #6 - San Juan National Forest on the Piedra River in CO.
