Night 8 in Land Between the Lakes, KY. Birmingham ferry campground. Superb views in here.
That second photo is nice! Where was this taken?
NIGHT 022 / Hipcamp outside Monroe, LA.
NIGHT 023 / Army Corps of Engineers campsite along the Alabama River, AL.
NIGHT 024 / Gulf Islands NS, MS.
NIGHT 025 / Gulf Islands NS, FL.*
*Not the actual site, this is the day use parking lot across the street, but since we’re only allowed to post one picture per night and I’ll be here for a few nights need to keep interesting
Just did 12 nights in my GFC, cross country and back from NC to CO back to NC. This is from the last morning in Colorado, outside of Fort Collins.
That’s gnarly lol. Did you use a heater or just a nice sleeping bag?
It wasn’t bad, about 10 degrees colder the night before. I just had a sleeping bag with a couple of Sherpa blankets tucked inside. After having just a RTT for years, and being in single digits many times, the GFC felt like an oven in comparison. lol.
NIGHT 026 / Still out here in Gulf Islands NS, FL — spot the Blues overhead!
NIGHT 027 / Another day posted up on the beach before retiring to the (very crowded) campground loop for the night

NIGHT 028 / Last night at Gulf Islands NS, FL. Such a rad place, I hope to return soon!
NIGHT 029 / A KOA feat. a stunning view of a Domino’s Pizza (Only here as Manatee Springs was flooded out)
Night 9
Night 10
Winfield campground in Appling, Ga. Most sites are waterfront and this is a COE campground.
Night #1 - Klamath National Forest, CA
First trip of the year with the girlfriend and the dogs. Camping on a river bar/access site
Night #2 - Sue Meg/Patricks Point State Park, CA
Never a huge fan of campground camping, but this was a nice site right by a big rockhounding beach. Clean and quiet
Night #3 - Rogue River/Siskiyou National Forest, OR
Another night camping out on a bar. Really cool spot right in a valley on the Illinois River. Lots of vultures
You’re in my neck of the woods! I was supposed to a canoe camp trip on the Suwannee River a few weeks ago and the flooding shut that idea down. Enjoy your time in Florida!
I see you went back to Northern CA. Must have made a great impression! Thanks for sharing
Same trip. This was a great PNW
meetup!
