Enjoyed onsite camping for a couple days prior to competing in the event. Stayed comfortable and dry even in some intense rain.

Night 50: Denali Highway
After getting laid off I didn’t know if I’d actually get to 50 nights this year. Feeling back to normal a bit more these days.

Pretty sure I know this spot exactly, I walked to it from another spot close by when we were up there.

It’s the right distance from either side of the highway that you don’t rush the journey.

Night 1, White Mountain National Forest ! Very excited to join the GFC family, was lucky enough to find this used V2 nearby and jumped on the opportunity. Tested it out just a few hours after getting it on the truck.

Night #1 Sat 9/13 Colorado mountains near Gor pass.

Nights 6, 7, 8: Only claiming 3 nights in the GFC out of 11 nights archery Elk hunting in Northeast Nevada. The other nights were mostly backpack camping and 3 nights at spike camp.

Night #4 all tags filled and my crew headed out before the storm. Relocated to a spot near the Colorado River just before the rain came in. First meal and beverage inside the GFC while dumping rain.
