Post Your Pudding Here (2025)

Internal reality right now is actually the opposite, but your opinion is probably rooted in the truth of your experience. And if you’ve had anything less than stellar in that regard, I take responsibility.

This is Graeme btw.

Last January (‘24) I bought out my former partner and we have spent the last year building systems and bringing on passionate enthusiasts internally back at GFC rather than having it be just a manufacturing focused business. We are working on the brand that y’all love. That said, there have been a lot of systems to build in order to have a sustainable business as we grow. Kind of a put your own mask on before helping others thing, as some areas of the business have been historically underdeveloped. Especially external facing components, like customer service.

People that you know and love, (Thomas and Collin for instance) have recently come back into the brand after leaving a few years ago. These are the people that built the forum, have organized community events, and made this place what it is. Our turnover right now is at record lows, and we have an insanely talented team.

Regarding the forum, WS6616 is right, the forum has been a place where we get to see people that enjoy the product and community share stoke, build ideas and meet new folks. Facebook is a lot more casual observers and usually involves more people that don’t know they can reach out to the team directly if they have any product related questions.

We are thankful to have you guys here, and I’m not arguing that we can’t do a better job. Just know that our team cares more than most folks could imagine. I honestly could not be more excited for the future of the brand, and I’ve been here since it started. Out of a 900 ft^2 subletted shed and a coffee shop.

PS

Thomas is looking into the systems for the pudding badges. There is some automation that tracks everything we need to look at. We had a meeting on this last week after a few of yall have brought it up.

Unsure what number this is for 2025 but this was night 200 in the GFC since I’ve owned it. Just shy of 3 years.

Do you have a general path you take every winter down in Baja or are you bouncing from the beach to the interior based on weather?

A little bit of both honestly. We have some favorites that we like to hit each year as we pass through, as well as using them as jumping off points to explore new areas. Weather does play a factor, usually if it’s windy on the beaches it’s slightly calmer in the mountains so that gives us a good excuse to go inland and find some new areas as well.

That’s sweet you still have places to explore. Looks like slow roaming as well which feels like the perfect winter activity

Baja is kinda surprisingly massive! The paved road network here is relatively small compared to all the ranchero roads and roads connecting the interior communities. Im sure we still have several years of exploring before we start to run out of new places. Definitely slow roaming is our preferred style.

Night 76, Paraíso Misional, Jan Ignacio, BCS. This place is our absolute favorite campground in all of Baja.

Night 77, Paraíso Misional, Jan Ignacio, BCS, ended up being our last night in Baja. Our dog’s health took a turn and so we closed that portion of the trip early and drove 15 hours to Phoenix.

Night 78, VEG Animal Hospital Phoenix.

Night 79, outside of Phoenix. Greta seems to be on the mend. getting next-level care was worth the big day.

Thank you. I think we have a very long road to covering, we are still unsure of exactly what is going on but at least we are on the uptick and not the decline. It was scary for a bit. At the moment the best guess is her Anaplasmosis flared up and caused an autoimmune attack on her liver.
