Post Your Pudding Here (2025)

Nights 1 and 2 for 2025 camping at the SCCA Shootout at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. First photo is of the camper and the second is me on the track. Weather was great besides gusty winds for about an hour while we were trying to cook dinner.

Thanks for the link. Going through how you set it up now. I changed out my suspension as well, but with the Gladiator there is still only so much I can do about weight. Definitely gave me some different ideas reading your build out page.

Night 15: Manley, AK and the Iditarod

Likely the last post for pudding on my end unless they figure out the 2024 badges. I’d rather go back to not counting again :joy:

Kinda feeling the same. @GFC used to show a lotta love to the forum, and seemingly were proud and supportive of this community. Lately seems like they have really given up the ghost.

Seems like they are very active on the Facebook group. Must have decided this is a better way to reach their customers.

It was awesome when they were a bigger part of things for sure, but man I love this community. Seriously the best place on the internet! I LOVE that you guys share your travels, and LOVE seeing @Dogandajeep adventures too. Maybe I should CNC some badges for you two.

I joined this forum a while before purchasing my camper, and it was a large part of what made me decide to go with GFC over other platforms. I watch the Super Pacific, and a few other forums and it’s sad to see the lack of involvement from the company.

Ironically that was the only year I didn’t post to it. Missed out!

Badges and titles aside, this is what I needed to read. You’re right, this little corner of the net is pretty rad! Definitely stoked to contribute here and to see what other folks are up to! :beers:

I’m a new owner and hope we can keep this community alive. I’m not comfortable using any Meta products, especially Facebook.

I’m jealous of everyone that has weather about 32 degrees right now. Fairbanks is now in the weird timeframe where its not cold enough to enjoy but its not warm enough to enjoy so we just sit between 20 and 30 degrees.

that’s because on Facebook group there are a bunch of whiners who would broadcast their campers’ issues without even trying to contact GFC first to resolve them (as if calling/ emailing GFC is first is gonna cost their lives or offend their ancestors or something) and that’s bad press. That’s something I cannot understand, because the people at HQ are one of the raddest, most humble, most chill guys I’ve dealt with. Hell, they even offered me free drinks, free pizza, free merch, free seal replacement, and free latch lubing when I stopped by to visit on the way down from Arctic and Alaska last summer. ON A SATURDAY, NO APPOINTMENT.

Then there are also a few people there in the group that speak highly of competitions (are they really competitions though… hmm… find me one that can handle jumps or bombing down the desert doing above highway speed that’s not GFC) without ever having one, i don’t know why they are/ were allowed in.

Over here things are a lot more calm and the familiar faces like @DirtTrailsWanted @Dogandajeep @GainzGFC @jedgar among others make this place less dramatic and maybe HQ feel like the forum runs itself with plenty of valuable information.

Night 1: first night in the V2 pro. Single overnight trip to the local state forest to get a feel for it and see what accessories would be helpful. Unfortunately most of the snow was gone in this area of MN.

I’m one to give the benefit of the doubt 90% of the time because I never know what someone’s going through/the company is going through.

That being said I am highly disappointed in GFC as a company and a brand. They lost their way, changed leadership more times in three years than I changed tires, and seem to have a revolving door of staff.

There are great alternatives out there now. Different price points for sure.
