I like how the bike’s rear tire looks like its your trucks front tire. ![]()
Late start for me this year compared to last year and year before… sat out so many weekend trips this year designing interior MOLLE panels and other things that I forgot to bring so many things this trip.
Day 1: Somewhere near Hope Valley, CA
saw so many GFC on the road on 395 and around Lake Tahoe area though!
Night #8 on Lake Shelbyville, Illinois. Wish I had my boat. Great campgrounds here. 4 separate areas. Lots of tree canopy cover. And lots of wildlife running around.
Nights 13 and 14 at Chapman Dam Campground. Very quiet and good fishing in the Frying Pan River
View from the camp site

And Night 18: No this isn’t the garage of a mechanic. We got caught in one of those epic central Oregon lighting/thunderstorms and a friend let us sleep in his warehouse; most glamorous camping spot? I think so.
Slow start to the year. Bad year of ice climbing meant flying to CA to get any real ice for the season. Not a lot of camping in the first quarter before a month in France.
But now that I am back, the summer kicks off with another trip down with the group of fams to ride bikes.
Night one, my buddy used his fancy phone to get a good pic:
Night two, his wife one-upped him:
Hopefully a lot more nights coming up with summer climbing and biking trips. Hope to put the new addition to good use!
Night 3 at some land outside Florissant where I’m helping some family build a cabin - after way too long after night 2. I also have great respect for the people who can actually take decent photos at night…
That was a wild storm! Glad you guys found some shelter!
Night 1:
First night in the GFC, drove from GFC HQ to Toquerville Falls in southern Utah! Was planning to camp near Provo but it started raining HARD, so what’s another 4 hours anyways right? Arrived to the trail head around midnight and I had the entire falls to myself. Fell asleep to the sound of the waterfall and the smells of new tent fabric haha.
Night 2:
Second night in the GFC, decided to stay in Utah before driving back home. Relaxed by a river near Zion.
