Production Timeline Records

Well, after following this thread for a while, i think guessing on when what number is going to roll out is pretty well neigh impossible. With builds from The low 700’s to 1600’s getting scheduled, even if you had a spy counting the number of units rolling out of their factory, you’d have to know how many build spots are being sat on… how many unfulfilled old spots they have… and what models they’re producing in what order to be able to predict anything. Going to breathe deeply and hope they can crank 'em out, and hoping their “expected build date” is a conservative estimate. @GFC_Taylor - care to shed a little light on how expected build dates are comparing to actual build dates? Cheers, your rabidly curious customer group. lol.

Taylor doesn’t work for the company anymore. Maybe @Mike_GFCUSA can help you?

We shall see! I live in CA but am going to be in idaho/montana/wyoming around when my camper might be ready, but with “july build date” there’s a big difference between July 1 and 30! ha ha.

yea, Im not sure when it will be built. I have a June build date, but hoping to schedule to pick it up in July. Im coming from VA, so its a 30+ hour drive to Montana

Also keep in mind that build date is very different than completion/pick up date. It used to be 8-12 weeks but currently, they are 4-6 weeks that a camper is completed after its build date. Obviously a lot shorter than before but still a month to month and a half to completion.

I think last week on their Instagram live, they said they are installing 11 per weekend. They are doing the installs Fri - Monday now.

So hopefully they are working through the list and higher on the numbers.

Exactly. I’m hoping for an early july build date so i can pick up mid August, but know thats a pipe dream. Otherwise i’m either flying home and leaving my truck somewhere out there till it’s ready or doing a second round trip this fall…

I saw two people list low #2100 build spots for sale. One said estimated production August and the other person said November.

Hey @Trout when did you get your sample package… and is your install complete yet? Want to see that V2 on a gladiator. I’m Gladiator #1735… its still gonna be a while

No idea, wish I could help lol. Godspeed.

@Tomjoad I pick it up in 4 days! I’ll be sure to post some pics for you. I have a Mojave and haven’t done anything to the suspension, waiting to see how much squat there might be and then adjust accordingly. It’s perfect timing for summer.

Anyone is 1600’s got a call for install yet…

#1624 Tacoma DCSB invoice payed on May 11

Nope. #1601, DCLB. Paid in April. No call yet.
Haven’t felt this level of anxious anticipation since childhood.

I’m #1558 and I haven’t gotten a call yet. You guys in the 1600’s just hold your horses there!

nope. #1670 Tacoma ACLB paid invoice on May 11.

I was talking with someone on instagram, who emailed asking about scheduling. GFC told him 2-6 weeks. But since the 1600s are about 100 less than his build number, we should be getting a call/email sooner than that? He has a 1700 build number for a Colorado

I mentioned above but it is still true…there are a lot of supported vehicles coming “online” where GFC is going back in number and getting those people scheduled. There are trucks getting calls right now in the 1100s. I think people are thinking they are closer than they are because they saw a couple higher #'s. Every time a supported vehicle comes available, they have to go back in #'s back to the early 1000’s and fill all those builds. Granted they are probably smaller in number but with each step forward, they have to go back. I think the 1600’s are still a month or so away before getting a call. I could be wrong. I am #1308 and got the install call for mid june.

@DannyEnder has a good point. This would be compounded since they are now batching builds by type so there might be an early 1000’s Colorado batch and to round it out they may be adding in Colorado’s from the 1600’s.

Yep - well… I emailed just to see if i could get new info and I was told my build went from production start July to “late fall.” Sigh. Guess i’m going to rig up a temporary RTT. LOL. (aka, tent on rack. ha ha!)

Unfortunately I think this is going to happen more than anticipated. When GFC came out with the V2, they sent an email out immediately adjusting everyone’s build dates and moved them up significantly. With the changeover/retooling/speedbumps they’ve hit, there have been a few people who got “moved up” which sent a lot of excitement through people who had orders slated to “start soon”. Unfortunately though, many folks are actually getting bumped back for a variety of reasons (truck not yet supported, your build about to start but older truck models now supported, speedbump in production etc). I think times will speed up eventually, but that time doesn’t seem to be right now.

Exactly what @DannyEnder and @zwickt said, I have a Colorado with an expected production start of June 21 when I ordered. A buddy of mine had his order in about a month after me for a Colorado as well but his expected production start was August. Once we got the V2 email my start was moved up to March and I’m assuming it’s been completed. I’m going to pick her up in a few weeks but my buddy only got brought up to June and hasn’t scheduled his install yet. (I think they’re trying to get him scheduled now but he doesn’t have a good schedule to work around.) I’m late 1400’s and he’s early 1700’s. I think a bunch of people enjoyed summer last year and then between July and September were like, “I need to stop sleeping on the ground, those GFC’s look badass!”
