I’ve appreciated the updates others have posted here! Now that I’ve got some dates to share (woohoo), here they are:
Build 2163 - 2019 Toyota Tacoma ACLB
- March 3, 2021 - Deposit placed for August Build
- March 18, 2021 - Truck specs confirmed
- August 6, 2021 - Invoice Sent, Options Selected and Paid
- August 13, 2021 - Received email to schedule install (Earliest install available was 11/4)
Considering all of the manufacturing delays this year I was originally expecting a late October / early November install date - props to GFC for continuing to pump these shells out!

I camped in Island Park, Idaho for the first night. Next im planning on going into Yellowstone, and heading towards SLC and Moab

Just had my install on 8/12, drove from la to Bozeman via SLC, grand tetons, Yellowstone then big sky. I highly recommend this route especially if you mtb, big sky is a huge mtn resort with amazing dh trails.
As far as the GFC, I couldn’t be happier. It’s everything I hoped for.
Total weight is 297 lbs with 2 beer bars, probably 305 with the 3rd beef bar.
If you haven’t upgraded your suspension on your taco, be prepared to do it down the road at some point, it’ would definitely make it sag with cap and gear.
Also prepared by buying the Vrnclr shelf and storage pocket, plus strawfoot rear window shade, and gzilla tent pole kit, and gecko lighting kit, wow, makes this thing so clutch.
Just waiting on a 270* awning and I’m done

Well, it’s installed! Big thanks to Nick for arranging the install and Dävid for putting it on! Wish I was allowed to drive so to see GFC in person but the Gear Shop is a rad place to for the install!

Great looking rig!!! Glad you got it sorted! Heading down to GFC Nov 17th for my new install on the 18th. Stoked they’re opening the borders and even more stoked on the help I’ve received from GFC regarding my debacle.
