Which bug screens did you get?
Is this a custom order, or does she have existing product photos we could peruse?
They are custom made. Sandi is awesome to work with. I found out about her from this THREAD
And this is her Etsy page: LINK
Alright… gotta ask. New positive pressure vent of some sort mounted to your side panel?
I finally wrapped up a few projects for my truck in prep for the summer. I went on a climbing trip to France and left my truck with a friend. He did an awesome job solving my problem with the bed slide - that stuff could fall off it and down into the side and then roll under the mechanism.
I didn’t want a bunch of cabinets and wood in my bed because I still want to use it as a truck, but by making little cubbies that have the same height of the bedslide, that space now becomes usable.
I coated it in three layers of poly then put clear skate deck grip tape over the top so you can step on it without it being slick. All the cubbie doors are held into place with magnets. Really stoked on how it came out:
I also got a used Starlink off a local classifieds. I work remote, so thought it might be a good experiment to determine how remote I can actually work this summer climbing and biking.
I asked @Rancho to make me a hook that is at 90° and I really like the way the cable run is super short from the @keeganbuilds mount:
Trimmed the cable to be as short as possible, and after quite a bit of futzing, I got the DishyNOAC working direct into my laptop over ethernet. And then got it packaged up in a travel case from another Etsy vender:
What camera mount is that designed for the inside? More and more, I am leaning towards mounting the camera inside the camper to not have a hole. Does the tinting of the window negatively effect the nighttime views?
My partner taught me how to sew 2 weeks ago and for my first project I made some sheets and followed it up with some bug screens inspired by @Julian design. Waiting on a zipper but mostly ready to go.
Send Cut Send for the win again.
I didn’t have a good way to stow my little table, so modeled some brackets for the Tacoma bed rail and a top component to mount straps and the table. The rail brackets are 0.125 stainless (overkill) the upper .090 alum (barely adequate).
I sized the hole pattern in the lower bracket for Misumi 5 series, 2080 just in case I wanted cross bars.
Made some loops to hang trash bags or whatnot from. Drilled an 1/8” hole through the center of a nylon bolt, ran some nano cord through the hole, knotted it on the back side of the bolt and threaded the bolt back into the well nut.
It’s the Wolfbox camera in a mount I designed and printed. Doesn’t seem to affect the nighttime views too much but I don’t have much to compare to either.
Started the Camp Kitchen, 12V auxiliary power install, Installed LEDs, and power control center.
I would’ve switched the GFC plate and handle. I personally think the handle has more use on the lower extrusion than the top
…or just move the GFC plate…
Added a small blue tooth speaker to the front molle panel. Mounted 5lb propane tank to bench and re-organized the downstairs
Haven’t posted on the forum in a while! Built out a cabinet in the bed that I’ve been wanting to do for a loooong time. I was going to tackle this a few years ago before I had the GFC but decided to use the truck a bit and figure out what I wanted first. After 2 years with the GFC I drew up some plans and with the help of my mom and grandpa, got this assembled over 3 days. Pretty happy with the outcome. Next Thursday I’m taking off on a 10 day roadtrip so I finally get to test it out
