What have you done to your GFC this week

Brought home my second Switch Pro 9100 for the truck. Threw it in the GFC so I guess it counts.

This customer trade-for-labor unit will be mounted in the GFC to replace the CCJ (cheap chinese junk) nilight toggle switches I’ve been running for the past 3 years as a temporarily solution (got busy working, making things, playing video games, and putting the GFC to use that I completely forgot about this).

Also will CAD a new bed rail mounted MOLLE Panel that works with Decked drawers in the Ram 1500 DT to replace my first-time-weld power plate (that looks just as good as something that got fished out of Chernobyl), and this will go on the MOLLE along with other Blue Sea components.

dunno. im not gonna do LT on this truck and i don’t mess with engine mods since I built the truck to go places (i believe throwing a SC or do engine mods will eventually reduce lifespan of the engine) so i’m pretty much done with all the mods. these are just quality of life improvements that replace no broken parts lol i’m just doing it because i’m bored.

so the next mod… probably let the truck go for a Power Wagon and repeat the whole process again with Thuren full kit, GFC, Baja Designs, Switch Pros, and go 37s on Methods this time. Or, if i can find parking space I do wanna build a Mitsubishi Fuso 4x4 with habitat.

Low key genius. Is there anything holding the bedrail edge in place? I love the idea but after a few beers by the fire this might be a travesty for me.

Thank you. I’ve been called many things, but rarely that. I remember seeing a similar set up elsewhere, so it’s not entirely my idea.

Gravity and leverage are all that hold it against the bed rail. It’s a 16" deep shelf and I think that much of a lead is what makes it’s strong. If it were only 6" or so it would have more vertical pressure than horizontal making it unstable.

After some use, I’m not worried about its stability. I had a decent amount of weight on it (probably 30ish pounds) and it served as a good spot for drinks and food for a whole weekend. Under the panel there it is well lit and not a high traffic area; we suffered no casualties. Also with the 2.5" lift in the truck, it sits at perfect bar height!

I don’t see it coming out at every campsite, I think it will be used when we settle into a spot for a few days. For the single nights we try to stay light and fast.
