Finally got to use my Hest! First impression, it was so soft and felt like a squishy gel. I loved that. Went camping night before last and settled in for the night. After laying on it for more than a few moments, I realized my issue as a side sleeper was still there… my hip bone was touching the floor. Shoulders, chest, legs were all cushioned and super comfortable (unlike the GFC mattress), but my hip was starting to hurt. I am a stomach and side sleeper, which the stomach position was very comfortable, but it just wasn’t working for me on my sides. I dont know how else to solve that issue besides using a inflatable foam mattress, but I am trying to get away from that inflatable part.

I see the preorder is up on their website but there’s not a camper size option (full-size is 6" wider). Edit: I didn’t pay enough attention. I see the dimensions (and naming) is for midsize but might want to make it more clear that it won’t fit full-size campers.

Thank you for the feedback. We currently only have one size that will fit the standard mid-size GFC platform camper.

Nothing in the works yet. But if we find that we have enough demand we will for sure add this to our product line in the future. Still trying to figure out the overall demand for all of the sizes out there.

It would be nice if there was some sort of discount since it is a preorder and not shipping for 2 months.

@HEST I bought a dually during your black Friday sale last year for my GFC. It has been sitting behind my couch unused all winter. Any chance you’d swap me for credit towards the new modular version?

I had a similar experience. I was fortunate enough to receive the Turbo Nap mattress when I ordered my GFC. I didn’t know this until I received delivery of it, so prior to I bought a HEST mattress. First couple of nights in the GFC I used the Turbo Nap…very comfortable to lay on but after a period of time my hip started to hurt causing me to toss at night (side sleeper as well and a bigger guy). So I swapped out the Turbo Nap for the HEST. I spent a week sleeping on the HEST and noticed a slight improvement in sleep quality, but still experienced hip discomfort. So now I’ve put the Turbo Nap back in the GFC and will spend the next few camping trips trialing the Turbo Nap + HEST see if that fixes the problem. As the saying goes one is good, two is better lol.

Since most options on the market are made for a max 3” height I could see a market for this!

Sent email many days ago, yet no reply… questioning the customer service end.
HEST makes a great product! I own the foamy combo that fits an XL GFC perfectly.
Overland Softgoods will offer a HEST version of the same great flannel sheets we’ve been making for the GFC community for over two years now.
Check our website for Pre-Order early next week. We plan to keep these new HEST size sheets in stock but the first production will likely sell out pretty fast!
