Sounds like magic, man. I want that experience soon.

Same thing happened to us, though it was far less comfortable in the bed of a 5 ft bed tacoma with 2 adults and a baby ha! Great memories for sure.

It was pretty great. Watched Beetlejuice and Batman Forever, cuddled with the dogs, had a good time for being stuck in a truck

and they say only 30% of the visitors see the mountain the park is named after, due to heavy cloud and weather. I got lucky. Really lucky.

Day 23 - Arctic Circle

Unfortunately this is where I’ll be turning around on Dalton. Weather is not on my side on this one. I’m not about to mess with ice and snow on Atigun (was told by returning travelers that there are snow and ice on Atigun) and weather report indicates there will be nothing but rain going forward.

I’ll go touch the Arctic Ocean in Tuktoyaktuk instead.

Dang sorry to hear that brother but better to be safe then take the chance. You will still make the best of it and have amazing experiences.

Honestly I think Tuk is the better destination of the two. A town with some unique culture vs a oil company town gets my vote even if it’s 90miles further south than dead horse.

Last night in Ontario, down some random logging road, really struggled to find a beautiful spot here.

Would you believe that this is the southern shores of Lake Superior, we wouldn’t have either!

yeap that’s part of the reason why I’m ok with turning around.
I thought about it and i’m not down to pay $80 for a shuttle to the ocean and come back, especially when weather is not on my side.
Was looking forward to Atigun but that’s fine!
