Oh It’s a 6’4” box on a 3500 Megacab. It’s ok after a year of GFC communication I’m used to it. Haha
Are the beds bigger on a 1ton vs a half ton? Or maybe cab height? I think I remember reading they weren’t comparable even for the same bed length.
That could be the case. I thought all Ram 6’4” boxes were the same for the last 15 years. But cab clearance could be the difference. All good I’m not in a big rush anyway.

Was an awesome experience. Everything went super smooth. Road tripped back with stops in MT, ID, WY, UT and AZ…took 7 days coming back to the Central Coast of CA. In all honesty, the camper is cooler than I thought. I was super excited ahead of time but using it in person is pretty darn epic. Camp is setup instantly. Wife, myself and two kids (4 and 6) used it flawlessly. Kids sleep in the bed of the truck on pads, wife and I “up top”. Couldn’t be happier.

Was Aug. 13th the earliest available install?
Earliest was July 23.
Unfortunately I couldnt do that weekend, because i need to be around for the fiance’s bridal shower. The following weekend is my birthday. And August 6 was originally scheduled, but I couldnt take off work. So it had to be pushed.
Im still stoked its finally happening!

How long did it take from payment of your invoice to getting a call to schedule the install. I paid in-full my invoice at the beginning of June. I’m hearing 4-6 weeks from payment to getting a call to schedule install.
This week is the 6th week. (Actually tomorrow will be 6 weeks on the day). I paid my invoice on 5/11
Another good update…SO STOKED! Got the install call today earlier than planned. Fingers crossed this is a new trend for everyone.

06.24.21: Email received asking me to choose colors & options. (No actual welcome kit)
06.25.21: Invoice Paid
06.26.21: Received the call!!! Scheduled for 07.29.21 Install.
Honestly this is months earlier than I was expecting. I’m super pumped! The crew at GFC are working hard and sounds like things are getting dialed.

I think they must be doing a batch of gen 3 short beds because I saw a few #2000s get the email too

I am very pleased with that timeline. Although it was tough to wait and watch I must say GFC did a heck of a job to keep things on schedule from my deposit in December.
