Superlite is here!

Am I right in thinking that the mounting rails on the bottom of the Superlite would be fully supported on a Front Runner Slimline II rack even though there would only be four mounting points? That is to ask, would the mounting rails on the bottom of the Superlite tent be in contact along the full length of the Slimline II rack? The mere 80lbs of the Superlite won me over, but at 6’4” and 225lbs I’m a little concerned about pushing its limits with another person in the tent. I’m considering ditching the factory crossbars on the Grand Cherokee and opting for the Front Runner Slimline II.

dont forget the crossbars are rated with static weight (vehicle stopped and you sleeping in it) and dynamic when driving. i’d imagine they would be fine

The rating on the crossbars is sufficient, though they barely make the 36” minimum spread specified for the Superlite. I’m more concerned about potential damage to the floor of the Superlite.

Hi all, been patiently waiting for my superlite since August. Just got a notice that the logo on the fabric will be upside down and they’ve framed it as a launch edition. Definitely appreciate the transparency. I guess it’s not a big deal, but I do wish I was getting a tent that was perfect vs. “almost perfect.”

i got the same message today about the fabric. kinda came across as part being funny and part not making buyers wait any longer.because it cant be fixed it has me wondering if the fabric panels are cut sized and sewn outside the U.S.?. having paid in advance and waiting all this time i can understand the dissapointment. the fabric is supposed to be replaceable so maybe down the road those who want to get a replacement can work something out or figure a way to remove the print or cover the mistake if it bothers them. im hoping it doesnt stick out too bad but those with ocd i can see it bothering them.i cant really tell from just the photo they sent.maybe they can take a pic of what the blooper looks like with the tent fully assembled.mine is suppose to ship soon. if somebody gets one sooner maybe they could take a picture.

Saw that also. Unfortunately that does bother me, I really wish it didn’t but it really does. I get that they want to make it funny and all that but that just looks pretty damn ghetto and unprofessional. Not funny at all in my opinion. But to each their own.

I’ve got a #77xx build spot (late May) and would happily trade with you @pilitojrs
Feel free to shoot me an email chris.c.pino@gmail.com

i see the current lead time this week went from October 2021 to Jan. 2022. CRAZY Stuff.

perhaps a simple out-of-the-box solution for carrying my surfboard with my soon to arrive Superlite.

Can I ask what your order numbers are?

#superlitelaunchedition
#pleaseshipmysuperlite

Thx

How does everyone know their spot? And is there a chart telling you when your spot gets built?

And where did everyone see the upside down logo?

back when you purchased a Superlite you got an order number. recently they sent emails as to ship times of certain number blocks as well as a picture and explaination about the Logo being printed upside down. if you didnt get an email i can only guess your not in those groups

I can say this is accurate, My number was in the first group, and got it this morning. I will post pics and possible video later but it is better than I thought in a first quick inspection.

The build quality is supreme and the fabric is burly. Not my first rodeo with tents and material and this stuff is really good. Getting it on top of the car ( Subaru Ascent) zero issues with wife, for sure a 2 person job but easier than a canoe or kayak. Getting it in factory rails was a bear as the clearance between roof and bolts minimal. Best to get a ratchet. The ladder attachment bolt had some odd size of hex that did not fit any of my metric tools. Total install time about 30-40 minutes not having the best tools ( will next time) but a quick release system they have been talking about seems like a great idea. Will take out and use this weekend. so far very impressed.

How long did you wait to receive it after it shipped?
