a few days but note I am in the pacific northwest so not too far away
Can you get any more expectations?
Order 59XX here. Radio silence this week as mine was “expected” to ship. Emailed GFC today to see what’s up and received a simple enthusiastic reply it was going out next week Thursday, May 6th.
im in the 6000-s. i expected more delays but the last thing i want is a rushed slap together RTT. not that they would do that but being at the finish line a week or 2 extra is no big deal.
hey! wondering how stiff the floor is. any buckle or flex? i was think of adding a 3rd crossbar. thanks!
zero issue with two adults in there, solid.
Did you e-mail them again? I’m in the low 7000s and I e-mailed them on Monday and received a reply later that day saying that I was still on track for an end of May fulfillment. It seems like that if you’re in the 5900s, that my end of May date is unlikely unless they are pumping these thing out quick. I would be curious to know what they say. Any update from them would be welcome!
Yeah I sent an email this morning, but no reply
Mine is in the low 5900s
GFC ignores all requests for updates! The company is destined to fail due their misinformation and lack of transparency. At least be honest and communicate with their customer base. This looks more like hiding behind “smoke and mirrors” until the customer is on the losing end.
I’m glad I’m not the only one. I was beginning to take it personal. I emailed them last week and I had to send a follow-up email on Monday to see what is going on and Rachel stated that I was going to have my superlite shipped out on 5/6. Yesterday came and no shipping or tracking information emailed so I sent them an email asking them if I should be expecting it. No reply. They’re literally ignoring emails like we ain’t s*** anymore. But sure keep the “influencers” happy at all times.
It’s been that way since the inception. I pre-ordered the camper in 2018. Same exact scenario. Not surprised at all.
Geez. This is a small business making very in demand and desirable products. This isn’t Amazon. Add to that the perfect storm of COVID to stir demand, greatly impact supply, logistics, labor, and frankly I’m surprised that GFC has been able to scale as they have.
Hang in there a just a bit more. The good stuff comes to those to wait. Asking about status won’t speed things up. They have communicated well IMO, and have openly allowed for order cancellation. Give them room to spend the time and effort on the factory floor, to make great things, and catchup on the backlog.
Any updates from people that weren’t getting a response last week ?
It would be nice if people getting their tents would post the fact and include their order number. Including a pic of it installed on their vehicle would be a bonus.
if you get a chance lets see the infamous limited edition side.
What size bed is your truck?
Standard Silverado “6.5 ft”. Chevy is a little long so I think technically 79.44 inches
They have communicated well? How so? I placed my order seven months ago and there has been one update which was over two months ago posted to their website. Since then I’ve heard or seen nothing from GFC. I contacted them via their website and their customers service representative replied with a vague “cancel your order if you like” and that was all. You don’t need to be Amazon to take 20 minutes once a month to post an update on your website. The wait is not the issue, it’s their lack of communication on the most basic level. Lastly, if you know you’re a small business and cannot handle large volume orders you shouldn’t just open the flood gates, take peoples money and then expect them not to be irritated when you fail to deliver the product.
