I’m betting the reason why you haven’t heard from them yet because of holiday. And probably they are forwarding your information up the line so a decisions on what could be done or made about what to do. Those are all just guesses. @Mike_GFCUSA may be able to help.
I haven’t heard anything about this yet but I know CS is looking into it.
update… i got a call this morning and an email reply.let me say that all is good for the most and there customer support is top notch!. they have 2 phone numbers. the one that is in my phone always stayed busy last 2 days.the other number worked when i tried it early this morning but they were closed.i will update on my issues and whats going on. first of all PLEASE!!! refuse delivery if your item doesnt look right. i was talked into receiving the Superlite by the driver saying no worries your covered… even though he took pictures and called his office and gave me tons of re-assurance. its my own fault.GFC sent a message stating to refuse delivery and i was being a nice guy… i now will have days to weeks of calls, emails and filing reports so dont be me… i tried to just get it returned but its not that simple… im left with dealing with the shipper now… great news! was told the fabric is sewn in the U.S.A… thats great with repairs and warranty issues.with the zippers i rushed to judge on this. the smaller fabric plastic zippers and screen zippers are stamped ykk in tiny letters on the skinny part of the zipper pull covered by the cord that i didnt see. its not like the big beefy outter bag zipper. these smaller zippers snag too easy so dont know what im doing wrong or if the folds hang in the way so take your time and be careful to make sure the fabric doesnt feed into the zippers… i discussed the pole setting process and was told basically dont over think it. all the extra loops are there for hangin stuff.just keep the poles in the 2 velcro loops is whats needed. they said to just extend the poles in the corners.there is no specific spot. the rubber ends can sit on the fabric or the white honeycomb board. i didnt get an reason for the sag in the middle of the ceiling. i dont see a way to get the slack out of the sag so others will have to comment if theres is like that too.i will update later on as to my process with getting a replacement.just stinks after waiting this long and now have to deal with it all. sorry to vent but im positive it will all work out!
We need more pictures and reviews of delivered units!
Going camping in an my Airstream this weekend, but boy would it be fun to mix in an RTT. Last time I had one was a bi-fold unit 10 yrs ago.
Has anyone canceled their superlite order? If so how was the process?
I’ll purchase your superlite spot if you plan to cancel.
I had mine out over the weekend and was curious after reading the thread on zippers. Mine has YKK zippers. just an FYI
update… the trucking company came back and picked up my tent last friday. looks like they had a fill in driver the day i got mine because this driver said he would never have delivered it damaged like that. he thinks it may have been on a pallet and was removed but only GFC knows if it ships on a pallet for added protection.today i got a email from GFC saying they are working on getting a replacement so fingers crossed it will be this week. the tent zipper issue with getting stuck easy i can only speculate but think the flap fabric gets in the way. in doing some research on stuck zippers in general ive seen others have suggested that the flap seam that gets stuck in the zipper and covers the zipper channel has 2 sew lines as seen in my picture. if they put a small diameter cord in between the 2 sew lines before sewing then the seam would be too round and thick to be able to feed into the zipper.YKK is good quality but if the fabric keeps getting sucked into the zipper thats not good for any zipper. just be aware and be gentle with those zippers.
Has anyone in the 7000s received any shipping information yet? I emailed for an update on Tuesday and got the general response about supply chain and if I want to get a full refund to let them know. I am 75xx and was just inquiring on if picking it up would save me a couple weeks instead of shipping to Denver.
We’re in the 68XX range and we received notice on 6/1 to expect shipment on Monday, 6/7. We’re in the PNW. We received our mattress and ladder on Wednesday. So far so good!
i didnt hear anything for a few days but was able to call GFC and get through friday. my damaged Superlite wont be back to them til tuesday. i was told when they receive it they will send out the replacement. i just hope this one makes it in one piece… ive also seen 2 others who have received damaged units and with holes on another site. guess im not the only one. hope all the shipping bugs get ironed out.i planned on using this tent already. hoping to get to use it soon…
Hi there. I received my superlite about a week ago. Some poor stitching here and there but nothing crazy. Slept in it, loved it.
This morning noticed that the one side of the tent is much higher than other side. Opened it up to see that mattress bubbling up… I mean… $300 mattress… really? Emailed support to see what they say… has anyone else experienced it?
Thanks all
Can you tell us what your order number was? Thx
67 something.
Also , ceiling fabric was down about 3-5 inches first night I used it (was raining a lot that night) but this morning I checked and it seemed to be normal. Just fyi
I’m 74XX and I was told 1-2 weeks until shipment about 1.5 weeks ago. I was planning on following up with them around the 2 week mark to get another delay estimate. When I asked about an updated ship date I also received the “you are free to cancel your order”.
gr8 to hear! and welcome aboard! sorry to see your issue with the mattress. i wondered who makes it for GFC. i once bought a fancy air mattress from Cabelas and it didnt last. i decided to go with memory foam with mine.let us know what they say.
I am mid 72xx and nothing yet.
Update: I got an email to verify my delivery
Update: shipment is on the way!
Tent arrived, got it up on my Leitner ACS
Guess I’m making a run to the hardware store in the morning.
Thanks Tim. Keep us up to date. I’m 73XX. Not a peep for me, but I guess it might be getting close.
What did you hear back on the mattress?
