To decked or not to decked

For what its worth I considered this as well. My buddy has a decked on his long bed tacoma with a V2 and its a perfect set up for him because his priority is for his construction business where he needs locked storage and full use of the bed day to day. What @YetiX said is spot on about the head room if the floor is not out and the main reason why I did not do it as my priority is space. Given my short 5.5 bed F150 . I also considered doing this Tacoma Interior Camper Buildout with 1/2 Decked System . Ultimately I ended up just building a single drawer out of 8020. Build thread is here 2025 F150 build . I am still working out the optimal configuration but I chose this so I would still have room for 2 peoples worth of hunting gear for 10 days of base truck camping and back country camping, packs, and full backpacking gear as well as empty coolers etc. plenty of room in this set up when you pull out the coolers and also because it is pretty easy to remove when I do want the full bed to for truck stuff. ONe other thing is that being able to have the floor in an L configuration and stand in the bed with only one of the square panels out is really great.
