What have you done to your GFC this week

Could you like like a ram mount into this also? Link to the rail?

Anything you can attach to an 8020-style t-track would work. This uses the factory wellnuts, so total weight carrying capacity is still pretty limited.

That’s just awesome man!! Just what I needed to see on a Monday morning!! I am really glad you find them useful.

Great Idea! I could probably easily adapt a few of my designs to fit the 80/20 t-slot using hardware.

I setup my molle pannel hooks and the hooks on the banana arms by the rear this weekend while out camping. Both working fantastic!

Glad to hear it!! I have been using the MOLLE panel hooks to hang my Helmet and camelback. I am going to hang the minimal recovery gear I have to give myself some more drawer space.

Awesome. Twist locks were great for hanging lifejackets to dry after paddling the river Saturday too. Keep stuff out of the dirt!

For the moment it’s just using the wellnuts. I agree that you would not want to hang any significant load from these. I did spend 4 months with 3 sets of skis (~30 lbs) on my custom rack with load distributed across the 4x wellnuts and that held up fine. I have considered swapping them out for rivnuts, but I havent committed to buying tools just to do 14 rivets and am unsure if there is some design intent by GFC to limit the load users apply to the extrusion walls by selecting wellnuts for the design instead.

IMO the interior mounting options in the shell space are the weakest link in the mostly well thought out design of the Platform camper. I haven’t seen one in person, but it looks like the design has been updated in the Topper only, and looks to be much improved. I’m not sure why this hasn’t been rolled into Platform campers.

Not exactly something I did TO my GFC but definitely something I did BECAUSE of my GFC.

Installed a stiffer/adjustable sway bar. No more fear of whiplash when pulling out of driveways.

Highly recommend.

More pics pls. I have so many questions. Very nice!

Added straps to hold my less used but still important items to get them up and out of the way.

There is not much more to show. I just removed all the gfc pads and just use the thick inflatables. We just have to make sure we do not gain any wt so we can fit through 12" gap.

Love that orange extinguisher strap @Dogandajeep , you have a link?

So I actually have three on there. Two large 18 inch ones holding the standard fire extinguisher bracket to the roll bar and then the 12 inch orange one to make sure the fire extinguisher actually stays in place.

Your friend has shared a link to a Home Depot product they think you would be interested in seeing.

I’ll likely buy more because they’re turning out to be super handy and easy to relocate gear

You can get something similar from Voile. Quality is excellent and I always prefer to support the small guys.

Voile straps are the original. If you ski tour, you know. I keep them stashed everywhere in the truck, built my ski rack using them for mounting, and carry multiple when out skiing. I’ve used them in the field to strap skis together, repair backpack straps, strap a ski boot down when a buckle failed…

What are those grommets you’re using to hang your pack?!

Voile straps will save your life! I always have several within reach and stashed everywhere.

Replaced my blown out tent struts (thanks GFC!). I can now lift my tent with my creek boat up there, this wasn’t possible before. I’d have to jump in the bed and lift the top with my shoulder
