I added a bit of an experimental positive pressure vent that I made out of a Bud Industries IPV-1116 enclosure vent that I picked up from a commercial electric vendor. I sanded and painted the outside of it with textured black to try and match the powdercoat on the GFC side panel. I still need to order some filter material that I can cut into a circle, but what’s not pictured is a retainer plate that will hold the filter material on the inside of the cab. I’ll probably do a more detailed write up on this later.
I’d love to hear how this one works out for you. Looks slick.
This is awesome! Do you have any progression photos or video of the plan/build?
I do have some video. I was out of town most of the weekend and still need to cut some filter material to fit, but I’ll start a separate thread at some point for this.
Added in this top shelf with baskets made of 10 series 80-20. Will have 3 baskets, they will be held in place by a bungee. The whole shelf hangs from the fixed honeycomb piece of the bed.
Also, old mod, but I added some “renter friendly” peel & stick wallpaper to the ceiling.
@athenagoescamping Very nice. do you have any pic of the side and rear mounting?
Recently added some @Filstrand Frame Bags to the camper! Super stoked on them so far! We haven’t really dedicated exact items to be stored in them yet, but we have been using them as rolling “overflow” storage for beverages before they hit the fridge (ours fit 11 cans), and some of our dog’s stuff, like training treats.
I’ve started putting things like clips, clothespins, carabiners, and other fasteners in my driver’s side bag. All the things that get lost in the storage bins now go in the bags. I still need to figure out what to store in the passenger side bag other than my keys which go there so they’re convenient for unlocking the truck in the middle of the night/morning.
ok hear me out.
not what I actually done to the GFC but I was doing some work with AI and I figured why not play with it a bit, so… I put the GoFast in the GoFastCamper!
And since I’ve yet to jump this current truck on film (had jumped it a few times on a fast paced run), I asked AI to generate one for me so I don’t have to schedule my crew out to do it.
OBVIOUSLY AI went overboard like I asked it to (I did, for laugh and giggles). Here are some more “realistic” shots:
Note: these are all based on actual still photos I took, not 100% AI.
Just got the topper last month. Added a Bluetti Charger 2 system, some mounting points, boat decking installed on the bam boards, Bed Rug. Maiden camping voyage next weekend!
opened the camper to air out the tent after the storm last week.
i found the rear portion of the mattress/ topper wet and I’m sure something is not right but I’ve been thinking about doing a Pro tent upgrade so…
I opened up my downstairs but should probably check the tent too
Decided to try mounting my dometic tap to my molle panel using a drawer slide. Worked out pretty well. Still need to rearrange some items below to get the jug hooked up. Guessing I’m going to need a slightly longer hose.
@dempster333 very cool idea.
Ok, I like this. How do you route the hose? And where did you get the holder?
I haven’t installed the hose yet but the tap will have to stay rotated to the right with the hose installed so it doesn’t hit the molle. In theory you could build a standoff. Just make sure you leave enough space on the right so the door will still close.
Tap is from Etsy by a guy named KeeganBuilds. You could also fashion something up yourself from a piece of PVC pipe if you have the time/tools but his is pretty nicely designed with threaded taps for mounting and a slot for the hose to slide in nicely.
Keegan makes good stuff
Thanks! I have a design in progress that mounts on the GFC Cross Brace. But this is a nice design!
Can confirm @keeganbuilds makes some rad stuff. Have his heater kit and it was really well made and thought out.
